HYDRONICA® is not a laboratory concept. It is being validated in real growing conditions across multiple countries and regions — with research institutions, commercial partners, and independent agronomists. Our commitment is to build an evidence base that stands up to scientific scrutiny.
HYDRONICA® was developed under the scientific leadership of Dr. Alois Inderst, whose work focuses on the physical and mineral mechanisms of soil-water interaction and plant surface stabilisation. Our field validation strategy deliberately prioritises diversity of context — different crops, different soil types, different climatic conditions, and different production scales.
All field programmes are developed and supervised by Dr. Alois Inderst, Scientific Director, with support from his research team.
Active programmes span Europe, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia — covering tropical, arid, and temperate growing conditions.
Where possible, we work alongside universities, research centres, and agricultural institutions to ensure independent oversight of results.
We present findings at the level of evidence available. Early results are described as early results. Confirmed outcomes are presented as confirmed outcomes.
Each programme is at a different stage. We present results only where data is available, and describe ongoing work as ongoing.
HYDRONICA® Foliar is currently undergoing structured evaluation at nursery farms in Italy, under the direct scientific supervision of Dr. Alois Inderst. The evaluation focuses on the product's performance in stabilising the aerial surface of ornamental and cultivated plants — assessing effects on plant vitality, surface protection, and resilience to environmental stress and pathogen pressure.
Italy's nursery sector represents one of Europe's most demanding environments for foliar product evaluation, with high standards of horticultural precision and access to controlled growing conditions that allow for meaningful observation of results.

Active EvaluationNigeria is HYDRONICA®'s most advanced market, combining university-validated field evidence with a commercial partnership now entering local production.
Our Nigerian partner, Green Legacy Limited, has established a track record in soil enhancement technology going back to an earlier generation product. HYDRONICA® Root represents a fundamental advancement on that foundation — delivering up to 200 times greater water retention capacity per gram through a new formulation based on potassium polyacrylate and volcanic mineral components.
Green Legacy has now purchased a full commercial container of HYDRONICA® Root, and local production is being established — ingredients shipped from Europe and China, mixed and bagged locally by Green Legacy. This model significantly reduces cost and improves supply resilience for Nigerian farmers.
A follow-up field visit and expanded programme is planned for August 2026. Full trial documentation is available to qualified research and institutional partners upon request.
Trial Completed · CommercialHYDRONICA® Root is entering a structured field pilot with Neumann Gruppe at their Fazenda da Lagoa estate — one of the most significant commercial coffee operations in Brazil, spanning over 2,000 hectares. Neumann Gruppe is one of the world's largest green coffee exporters, with operations across multiple continents.
The pilot focuses on the application of HYDRONICA® Root during transplanting of new Arabica coffee plants. The trial is designed as a controlled one-hectare evaluation comparing standard farm practice with HYDRONICA® Root treatment under identical agronomic management conditions.
Scientific basis: The pilot application protocol is grounded in peer-reviewed research on potassium polyacrylate in coffee cultivation, establishing dose-response parameters by plant development stage. Key metrics include plant establishment, root-zone moisture stability, drought resilience, and progressive irrigation reduction during establishment.
The pilot is being developed in close collaboration with Neumann's agronomy team, with a joint technical framework prepared and signed by Dr. Alois Inderst as Scientific Director. HYDRONICA® is supplying pilot material at no cost for the initial evaluation phase, with a view to establishing a long-term scientific and commercial partnership.
In DevelopmentHYDRONICA® Root has entered a formal pilot partnership with Anasac Chile SA — one of Latin America's most established agricultural companies, with over 75 years of experience and presence in more than 30 countries. Anasac operates across crop protection, seeds, veterinary, and environmental health sectors, with USD 200 million in annual sales.
Chile's agricultural regions face significant water stress — particularly in the central and northern growing zones where some of South America's most water-intensive commercial crops are cultivated. The collaboration provides HYDRONICA® with access to large-scale commercial trial conditions and an experienced agronomic network across Latin America. The pilot programme is currently in the preparation phase.
In DevelopmentIn the UAE, HYDRONICA® Foliar is being evaluated for application in hydroponic and controlled-environment food production — one of the fastest-growing agricultural segments in the Gulf region. Given the extreme climate and near-total dependency on imported food, the UAE has invested significantly in indoor and vertical farming as a food security strategy.
The evaluation focuses on the performance of HYDRONICA® Foliar in stabilising plant surfaces and improving crop quality and yield uniformity in high-value food production — where product safety, residue-free output, and consistent quality are paramount. The all-natural, non-chemical formulation makes it particularly well-suited to this context.
In DevelopmentHYDRONICA® is at an early stage of evaluation in Vietnam, with samples currently undergoing laboratory testing through a regional partner in Dong Nai Province. The focus is on flower and vegetable production — two of the most commercially significant agricultural categories in the region.
Vietnam represents a significant long-term opportunity given its large smallholder farming sector, tropical climate with increasing rainfall variability, and growing integration into global agricultural supply chains. We are at the beginning of this relationship and will report further as the evaluation develops.
Early StageBeyond field pilots with commercial and agricultural partners, HYDRONICA® is actively pursuing scientific validation through engagement with leading international agricultural research institutions.
Scientific validation at the institutional level — through published research, joint field programmes, and policy engagement — is not simply about credibility. It is about creating the conditions under which HYDRONICA® can be adopted at scale: through government programmes, development funding, and agricultural policy frameworks that require evidence-based justification.
HYDRONICA® has initiated a scientific dialogue with CGIAR Policy Innovations and IFPRI-Kenya. The Kenya Policy Innovation Hub — jointly anchored by IFPRI and ILRI and launched in February 2026 — has identified water efficiency, soil health, and sustainable input use as priority areas. These align directly with what HYDRONICA® addresses.
We are in the process of exploring opportunities for pilot collaboration, scientific evaluation, and joint field programmes in Kenya.
Dialogue StageHYDRONICA® is in active field validation. Where we present results, they reflect real observations from real trials — but we are deliberate about the level of certainty we attach to early-stage findings. We do not extrapolate single trial results into universal performance claims.
As our evidence base grows, we will publish findings transparently. Qualified research institutions, government bodies, and commercial partners may request access to full trial documentation.
We welcome approaches from research institutions, universities, agricultural development organisations, and commercial partners interested in evaluating HYDRONICA® in new contexts and geographies.
