HYDRONICA® Protection is a multifunctional technical additive designed to be mixed directly into standard paint, transforming it into a more advanced and functional surface solution — without altering colour, gloss, or application quality.
No chemical reactions take place. Micronised copper and silver particles work through surface adhesion and structural mechanisms — leaving no residues and creating no resistance.
Does not alter colour rendering, gloss, opacity, or texture. The full aesthetic quality of the original paint is preserved. Application experience is identical to standard paint.
Compatible with water-based interior paints, washable paints, breathable paints, enamels, floor resins, and decorative products. No incompatibilities when mixed at point of use.
Copper and silver are natural minerals with historically recognised properties. In micronised form, they are invisible to the naked eye and uniformly dispersed throughout the paint.
The value of HYDRONICA® Protection lies in the combination of copper and silver in micronised form. Micronisation ensures the particles are invisible to the naked eye, stable in the paint formulation, and perfectly compatible with the base material — while retaining their technical properties for the full lifetime of the paint.
The technology has been validated through research conducted in an academic setting, with tests compliant with European standards (EN) carried out at the University of Turin.
